Obinna is a pan-African social entrepreneur who is committed to creating value and building human capacity. He is the Founder & CEO of Makers Academy Africa; which encompasses NESA by Makers, a software engineering training school and studio in Lagos, Nigeria, and Makers Robotics Academy Rwanda, a comprehensive engineering bootcamp in partnership with Bank of Kigali designed to thrust young boys and girls in the world of technology development for problem solving.
Since inception in early 2017, NESA by Makers has graduated four cohorts of trainees who now work as junior engineers at companies like VFD Group, Sankore Investments, Northcourt Real Estate and 3 Wise Pixels. In September 2017, NESA by Makers was awarded the inaugural IDP Changemakers Grant.
Obinna is also the Founder & CEO of Brük Oil Mills, a palm oil processing company in Nigeria where he currently oversees factory development and leads plantation development efforts.
In 2015, though born and raised in the United States, Obinna moved to Nigeria to pursue entrepreneurial and social impact ambitions. He holds a degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
